SANTO DOMINGO.- Los partidos Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) y Opción Democrática (OD) firmaron un acuerdo político de cara a las elecciones municipales y congresuales del 2024.
Las organizaciones informaron que han suscrito un acuerdo de alcance parcial y exclusivo a nivel municipal y congresual para 15 territorios con el interés de fortalecer nuevos liderazgos en el Congreso Nacional y los ayuntamientos.
Ambos partidos indicaron que concurrirán al certamen electoral de 2024 con candidaturas presidenciales propias y, manifestaron su compromiso y su vocación opositora de desplazar al actual gobierno encabezado por el PRM.
El acuerdo fue rubricado en representación de la Fuerza del Pueblo, por Radhamés Jiménez Peña y Antonio Florián, vicepresidente y secretario general.
Mientras que por Opción Democrática lo hizo Minou Tavárez Mirabal y Franiel Genao, presidenta y secretario general.
Como testigo de la firma estuvieron, de OD, Alexandra Sued y Leomerys Domínguez, dos de las candidatas de la boleta conjunta; mientras que por la FP, Roberto Rosario y Manolo Pichardo, miembros de la Dirección Política.
Jiménez Peña señaló que debido al «errático manejo del gobierno del PRM, los dominicanos tienen que buscar prestado para comer y los niveles de delincuencia en el país son altamente preocupantes, razones entre las cuales estas organizaciones suscriben el acuerdo».
