RIAD, Arabia Saudita, 26 de octubre de 2023 — En la cumbre mundial de la Future Investment Initiative (FII), celebrada hoy en Riad, destacadas personalidades internacionales que incluyen ministros de Europa, Oriente Medio y un jefe de estado africano observaron nuevos principios que pueden ayudar a fortalecer la economía internacional en medio de la creciente volatilidad y perturbaciones observadas durante esta década.
El segundo día de la FII, titulado "A New Vision Manifest" (Manifiesto de una nueva visión), se centró en los desafíos y oportunidades disponibles para las economías emergentes. Cediendo el escenario a nuevas "potencias intermedias" como Brasil, Turquía y Sudáfrica, en la cumbre se analizaron formas de mejorar las economías nacionales y el comercio internacional en medio de dificultades económicas y la persistente necesidad de soluciones climáticas críticas.
En el importante debate matutino del día, el ministro de Finanzas del Reino de Arabia Saudita, su excelencia Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, y su excelencia Mehmet Şimşek, ministro de Finanzas de la República de Turquía, junto con ministros del Reino de Baréin y el Reino Unido, exploraron cómo mejorar el comercio global, el cual disminuyó al 1,7% en 2023 desde el 2,7% del año anterior.

El tema de la colaboración intercultural también se destacó en una sesión en la tarde, en la que participaron el futbolista francés Karim Benzema de Al-Ittihad y el exmiembro del Real Madrid, expresidente de la FIA y enviado especial del secretario general de las Naciones Unidas para la seguridad vial, Jean Todt.
