PEKÍN, octubre de 2023 /PRNewswire/ — John Ross, escritor británico y miembro sénior del Instituto Chongyang de Estudios Financieros, hizo estas declaraciones el miércoles en el foro temático sobre el intercambio de grupos de expertos del tercer Foro de la Franja y la Ruta (BRF) para la Cooperación Internacional, en el que dignatarios internacionales compartieron su apreciación de la BRI, subrayando la popularidad de la construcción conjunta de la Franja y la Ruta como bien público internacional y como plataforma internacional de cooperación.
"Y eso es lo que constituyen los dos polos reales del mundo actual", añadió.
Durante los últimos 10 años, la BRI ha pasado de las ideas a los hechos y de la visión a la realidad. Los trenes y camiones a toda velocidad se han convertido en símbolos comerciales en la nueva era, como las caravanas de camellos en el pasado. Las centrales hidroeléctricas y eólicas han contribuido a eliminar el obstáculo al desarrollo de los países en desarrollo. Nuevos aeropuertos, puertos y parques industriales han dado un nuevo impulso al crecimiento regional.
Hasta ahora, más de 150 países y más de 30 organizaciones internacionales han firmado acuerdos de cooperación de la Franja y la Ruta, y la iniciativa se extiende desde el continente euroasiático hasta África y América Latina.
"Cuando los países adoptan la cooperación y actúan de forma concertada, un profundo abismo puede convertirse en una vía de comunicación, los países sin litoral pueden pasar a estar conectados por tierra, y un lugar de subdesarrollo puede transformarse en una tierra de prosperidad", declaró el presidente chino Xi Jinping el miércoles al pronunciar un discurso en la ceremonia inaugural del BRF.
Repasando la última década, Xi dijo que los logros demuestran que la cooperación de la Franja y la Ruta está en el lado correcto de la historia. "Representa el avance de nuestros tiempos, y es el camino correcto".
La BRI ha sido un socio importante en la implementación de la agenda de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas, afirmó Irina Georgieva Bokova, ex directora general de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura, en el foro temático.
El consenso alcanzado entre los delegados asistentes al BRF es que, al promover la cooperación de la Franja y la Ruta, China persigue la modernización no para sí misma, sino para todos los países en desarrollo mediante esfuerzos conjuntos.
Los proyectos de la Franja y la Ruta han creado nuevas oportunidades de empleo, impulsado la prosperidad comercial, promovido el desarrollo económico de decenas de países y mejorado el nivel de vida de la población local, afirmó el ex primer ministro checo Jiri Paroubek en el foro temático.
"En realidad es el proyecto económico más importante hoy en día en el mundo", afirmó.
Un factor clave para lograr una comunidad mundial con un futuro compartido, visión propuesta por China y alineada con la BRI, es la globalización, que cuenta con el respaldo de la mayoría de los países del mundo, especialmente los del Sur Global.
La globalización como tendencia creciente no sólo proporciona acceso a los mercados internacionales, lo que permite a los países aumentar sus exportaciones y atraer inversiones extranjeras, sino que también fomenta la transferencia de tecnología y conocimientos, lo que puede promover la innovación y el desarrollo de capacidades. Se profundiza a medida que la BRI facilita la conectividad en todo el mundo.
La BRI "es un poderoso motor para hacer irreversible la globalización, porque mantendrá el rumbo y seguirá siendo irreversible sólo si puede ser más inclusiva", afirmó Grzegorz Kolodko, ex viceprimer ministro de Polonia, en el foro temático.
"Eso es lo que se llama aquí en China 'ganar-ganar'", afirmó.
En un mundo de desconfianza y narrativas distorsionadas, la Iniciativa de Civilización Global (GCI), un concepto propuesto por China, se ha convertido en una fuerza vital para desafiar la hegemonía cultural, como señaló Ong Tee Keat, presidente del Centro para una Nueva Asia Inclusiva, al pronunciar un discurso en el foro temático.
Afirmó que los críticos de la BRI intentan remodelar el discurso mundial para escudriñar la influencia de China, pero las tres iniciativas chinas y la BRI pretenden combatir la desinformación aportando datos y cifras, lo que capacita a las sociedades civiles y a las personas reflexivas, en particular del Sur Global.
La BRI trasciende las diferencias entre civilizaciones, culturas, sistemas sociales y etapas de desarrollo, y ha abierto un nuevo camino para los intercambios entre países y establecido un nuevo marco para la cooperación internacional, afirmó Xi en la ceremonia de inauguración del BRF.
