Santo Domingo Este. – El diputado al Parlamento Centroamericano (PARLACEN), José Liz saludó la decisión del presidente Luis Abinader, al ordenar el cierre de las fronteras, frente a las diferentes situaciones que se han presentado con Haití durante su gestión.
Liz manifestó este sábado su respaldo a las medidas adoptadas por el mandatario sobre el cierre total de la frontera, ante el conflicto por la construcción de un desvío del río Masacre.
"Valoramos como positivas y apoyamos la decisión del señor presidente Luis Abinader al ordenar el cierre de las fronteras ante la intención de un grupo de anarquistas que buscan desestabilizar el Gobierno, con acciones irresponsables" adujo el legislador.
El diputado hizo un llamado a la comunidad internacional a respaldar las medidas anunciadas el pasado lunes por el gobierno dominicano.
Declaró que es muy lamentable que el cierre de la frontera haya sido la única salida que los haitianos hayan dejado a esta problemática, debido a que el gobierno dominicano le explicó basado en los acuerdos suscritos con mucha anterioridad establecen los procesos.
Asimismo, agregó que los haitianos han utilizado la construcción de este canal como un tema para provocar a la República Dominicana, sin detenerse a pensar en las consecuencias económicas que esto tendría.
Igualmente, afirmó que "por encima de la alimentación y el comercio tiene que estar la patria. El derecho inalienable que tenemos como dominicanos".
