Santo Domingo, R.D. Febrero, 2023.- La Confederación Patronal de la República Dominicana (Copardom) rechaza las reiteradas convocatorias a huelgas realizadas por el Colegio Médico Dominicano en las que obstaculiza el acceso a servicios médicos a los afiliados en el Seguro Familiar de Salud (SFS) a través de su administradora de riesgos de salud (ARS).
Pedro R. Rodríguez Velázquez, vicepresidente ejecutivo de Copardom, señaló que recurrir al mecanismo de huelga, en la que cada vez radicaliza su posición, perjudica a los afiliados y evidencia la ausencia de interés de preservar y fortalecer la Seguridad Social.
Rodríguez recordó que la Seguridad Social se sustenta del sector privado mediante los aportes que cada mes hacen las empresas y los empleados para su Seguro Familiar de Salud. Precisó que en la actual situación económica, este tipo de actuaciones suponen una mala decisión y entiende que lo importante es trabajar en positivo y de manera consensuada. “Las partes involucradas deben tomar decisiones con amplitud de criterio y visión integral de todas las variables y elementos a considerar para garantizar la permanencia del Sistema Dominicano de Seguridad Social”.
La recién Resolución 563-01 emitida por el Consejo Nacional de la Seguridad Social aprueba el aumenta de un 20% a los honorarios médicos; sin embargo, las aspiraciones del Colegio Médico Dominicano ascienden a más de 19 mil millones de pesos, lo que hace imposible cumplir sus expectativas considerando que la Cuenta del Cuidado de la Salud actualmente tiene en fondo 6 mil millones de pesos.
“Desde Copardom reiteramos el llamado al diálogo y a las negociaciones en las instancias oficiales correspondientes, en el que el bien común predomine por encima de los intereses particulares”, dijo Rodríguez.
